About Super TET 2026

Super TET (Uttar Pradesh Assistant Teacher and Principal Selection) is conducted by UPMSP for UP government primary and upper primary school teacher recruitment. UPTET (Paper 1 for primary; Paper 2 for upper primary) is mandatory. One of the largest teacher recruitment exams in India with 50,000+ vacancies.

Super TET: 150 qs, 150M — Hindi 20M + English 10M + Sanskrit 5M + Mathematics 20M + Science 10M + Environment & Social Science 10M + Teaching Methodology 10M + Child Psychologist 10M + General Knowledge & Current Affairs 30M + Logical Knowledge 5M + Information Technology 5M + Life Skill/Management & Aptitude 10M + Reasoning 5M. 2.5 hours. No negative marking.

Salary & Pay Scale

UP Assistant Teacher (after Super TET): Pay Level 5-6 — ₹29,200–₹42,000 basic (primary); Level 7 (₹44,900) for upper primary trained graduate teacher. UP government allowances gross: ₹55,000–₹80,000. One of the most stable state government jobs in India.

Frequently Asked Questions

UPTET is a qualifying eligibility test — passing it does not give you a teaching job. Super TET is the actual recruitment exam for UP Assistant Teacher post. You MUST clear UPTET before appearing in Super TET. Super TET merit determines actual appointment. UPTET is just the first hurdle; Super TET is the final selection exam for UP government school teacher jobs.
