Super TET (Uttar Pradesh Super Teacher Eligibility Test) recruitment is now conducted by UPESSC — the Uttar Pradesh Shiksha Seva Chayan Aayog, Prayagraj — for Assistant Teacher posts in government primary (Class 1–5) schools and associated primary (unaided) schools across Uttar Pradesh. The exam is open to candidates who hold a graduate degree, a recognised teacher-training qualification (B.T.C./D.El.Ed. or equivalent), and have qualified UPTET or CTET (for Classes 1–5).

Super TET 2026 Exam Date
As per the official notification, the Super TET 2026 written exam will be conducted on 3 and 4 December 2026. The exam is held offline (pen and paper) at centres allotted across district headquarters in Uttar Pradesh.

Super TET Selection Process
Super TET 2026 selection is purely merit-based on the 360-mark written exam — there is no separate interview or weightage for academic marks in the final merit calculation. Shortlisted candidates then go through document verification.

If two or more candidates have equal marks in the written exam, preference is given first to the candidate with a higher percentage in graduation. If that is also equal, the candidate with a higher percentage in the teacher-training qualification (B.T.C./D.El.Ed.) is ranked higher. If still equal, the older candidate (by age) gets preference.
Super TET Salary 2026
Selected Super TET candidates are appointed as Assistant Teachers under Pay Level-6 of the UP Government pay matrix, for both the Urban Assistant Teacher and Associated Primary Assistant Teacher posts.
In addition to basic pay, Super TET selected teachers receive Dearness Allowance (DA, revised periodically), House Rent Allowance (HRA based on city category), medical benefits for self and family, gratuity, pension (NPS for new recruits), and annual increment. The job also offers paid leave and summer vacation as per the UP government school calendar.
Assistant Teachers can be promoted to Head Teacher, then to Block Education Officer (BEO) through departmental promotion or competitive exams. Senior teachers with good track records can also appear for higher education department posts through promotion channels.
