Tier 2 is a single-session exam of 2 hours 15 minutes with three modules:

Module 2 (Mandatory for all): English Language & Comprehension (40Q, 80M) + General Awareness (20Q, 40M) + Computer Knowledge (15Q, 45M). Module 3 — Skill/Typing Test (post-wise, qualifying in nature): DEO posts require data entry speed of 8,000 key depressions per hour; LDC/JSA posts require typing speed of 35 words per minute (English) or 30 words per minute (Hindi).

Candidates shortlisted after Tier 2 (based on merit) are called for document verification.
