How to Prepare for SBI Clerk 2026
With the Prelims expected in September 2026, you have roughly 5–6 weeks from the application deadline. Here is a focused preparation strategy:
- 1Master the Prelims Pattern — Focus on English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Speed and accuracy are key. Practice at least 3 full-length mock tests per week and analyse your weak areas.
- 2Build a Daily Study Routine — Allocate 3–4 hours daily: 1 hour Quant, 1 hour Reasoning, 1 hour English. Use short daily quizzes for speed building. Do not skip days close to the exam.
- 3Current Affairs for Mains — Start reading current affairs daily from now. Focus on RBI policy, banking sector news, government schemes, and economic indicators. Read at least one banking newspaper or credible daily digest.
- 4Practise Data Interpretation — DI is heavily weighted in Mains. Practise all DI types (bar, line, pie, table, caselet) daily. Work on calculation shortcuts for faster problem-solving.
- 5Attempt Section-wise Mock Tests — After covering basics, shift to full-length mock tests. Review every test thoroughly — identify mistakes, understand concepts, and track improvement over time.
- 6Revise & Strengthen Computer Aptitude — Computer Aptitude is part of the Mains Reasoning section and is relatively easier to score in. Cover MS Office, internet basics, input-output devices, and keyboard shortcuts in 2–3 days.
