RRB JE (Junior Engineer) is a Group-C Gazetted Officer post in the Indian Railways. CBT-2 technical subjects vary by engineering branch: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or IT. Negative marking: 1/3 per wrong answer in both stages.
RRB JE is in 7th CPC Pay Matrix Level 6. Basic pay: ₹35,400/month. With DA, HRA, Transport Allowance, and other railway perquisites (free rail pass, medical, quarters), gross monthly compensation is ₹60,000–₹80,000 in metro cities. Total CTC approximately ₹9–₹12 lakh per annum.
