ASRB NET 2026 – Agricultural Scientists Eligibility Test

ASRB NET is the agriculture sector's premier eligibility test for teaching and research careers. Qualifying ASRB NET Paper I and Paper II certifies a candidate as eligible to be considered for Assistant Professor/Lecturer posts at any State Agricultural University in India — opening the academic career track in agriculture education.

For research careers, the path is through ICAR ARS (Agricultural Research Service) — which also uses ASRB-conducted examinations. Candidates qualifying both written tests and the ASRB Viva Voce become eligible for direct appointment as Scientist (Pay Level 10) at ICAR institutes.

Additionally, ASRB NET qualified candidates who appear for the ASRB ARS Viva Voce and clear it are recommended for ICAR Scientist positions.
